DEN Senate Election
The annual DEN senator elections are on March 29th. As you might have seen, taped all over the school are the flyers of dozens of candidates that are running. Most of the pillars around the building are covered in flyers for the election. This election determines who gets to be inside DEN as a senate member.
This election is split up into three categories: sophomore, junior, and senior senate. Current freshmen can run for the sophomore senate while sophomores can run for the junior senate and so on. Anyone can try to get into DEN through senate, but the amount of people who get voted in is a lot less. “Ten to twelve sophomore senators get in, around 4 juniors get in, and only two seniors are elected,” says Mr. Boese, the organizer of DEN.
DEN has been Norman North’s long-standing student council. These senate members get a chance to work for the chairs who were selected a week ago. Norman North’s DEN is dedicated to enriching the school environment, so make sure to vote for the people who you think are fit for the job!
Results will be posted on the DEN website around 6 PM. Be sure to check and see your future senators.
