Spring Play: A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Norman North’s Spring Play this year will be the famous Shakespearean Play A Midsummer Night’s Dream. This play has it all, love, drama, and comedy. It takes place when a group of Athenians, fairies, and mechanics find themselves in a forest. The Athenians are trying to resolve a bad love affair and end up sleeping in different parts of the forest when Puck intervenes in a failed attempt to resolve their issues. A Midsummer Night’s Dream follows this group as they journey through mental and physical woes and triumphs. There will be two evening shows and a morning show on April 20th and 21st. Tickets will be available online as well as in the commons during upperclassmen lunch.
The language of this work is enough to transport you straight into the scene. Not only will you walk away with a great appreciation for the ones putting on this play, but you will also see that the true importance of a person is what you cannot see with the eyes.
Come support North’s Drama department as they have worked tirelessly to put on the performance of a lifetime for their peers. Learn how love, reality, and order vs disorder are brought to life during the famous stage play. I wouldn’t miss this one!
