Norman North set to embrace Winter weather despite their tight schedule

In the week leading up to the highly anticipated Winter dance, the annual “Semi-Formal,” Norman North’s own Dr. Liesenfeld released yet another email about the event on Dec. 6 at about 11:00 AM, this time about the cancellation of the event, rescheduling the event to January.

Students were disappointed when they heard the news in the email, especially those who already bought tickets this week anticipating the dance to happen on Saturday. Dr. Liesenfeld’s email read:  “The most recent weather reports are indicating freezing after dark on Friday and into Saturday. Out of an abundance of caution, we are cancelling the Semi-Formal Dance scheduled for Saturday and rescheduling to January 19, at the Sam Noble Museum from 8-10pm. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, and appreciate your understanding through this weather event.”

The event will now be scheduled six weeks after the initial date, and tickets will also be sold in January in the weeks before the dance.
