We have officially passed the one-quarter mark for this school year! A lot has happened since we started school, so if you’re wondering if you missed out on anything school related, here is the rundown of everything that has happened so far this year.

First off, the Crosstown Clash! We had a spirit week leading up to the clash, which featured themed dress-up days. It started with Western Day, then Hawaiian, USA, and finally, white out for the game day. The game was unfortunately heavily rained on, but the game pressed on, even after lightning delays. We ended up defeating the tigers 40-36! Our football team has been generally successful this year, beating teams like Jenks, Broken Arrow, Southmoore, and Edmond Santa Fe.

In other news, our volleyball team has been dominating the competition lately and recently qualified for state! The marching band has had an incredible start to the season and has performed the best they have in years. We have started some spud events, including bubble soccer and restaurant benefit nights. The club fair took place, with a huge variety of different clubs people joined.

In light of our new principle, this year some new rules are being enforced. IDs are now being monitored more consistently, and parking decals have been enforced. Students are also now not permitted to leave the commons 15 minutes after lunch has started.

That’s everything for the first quarter! Stay tuned for a recap of events from the second quarter, including- SPUD events, Homecoming, Spooktacular, the end of the volleyball and football seasons, Cross Country State, Semi-Formal, the School Musical, and more!
