Native American Club at the Homecoming Parade.

On Thursday, September 23rd, the annual Homecoming parade took place on Stubbeman. This year, DEN students had decided to move the parade from Main street, where it has been in years past as mentioned in Setting PreceDENts. It was a successful night full of clubs and sports marching through the parade and hosting booths at the carnival, Blaine Bruton, a member of DEN said, “I believed we accomplished our goal. There was a great community turnout and everyone looked to be having fun. I hope this is something that will happen each year!”. Families from North and feeder schools (Longfellow and Whitter) attended the parade and following carnival. At the carnival, there were food trucks as well as a few blow-up activities(a bouncy house-like course and Hungry Hungry Hippos like game). All of the clubs who participated in the carnival had tables set up with some games to play as candy for a prize. Cristiana Eagen, senior said, ” I thought that DEN and all of the other clubs did a great job organizing Homecoming! I was also happy to see many students having fun at the carnival games.”
