Think GREEN

On Tuesday, February 21st, there will be an opportunity to connect with local businesses, colleges, and the military. This is a great time to start learning about different things after high school and think about the future. The bell schedule will be altered accordingly to be able to fit Think Green in, and therefore no advisory will take place on Wednesday.

The Military, Actor factory, Annie’s Ruff House, Aviation Academy, BC Apparel, Interior Design Shay Moore, MA+ Architect, NW Mutual Financial Advisor, OKC Fire, Paul Mitchell, and Yellow Dog Coffee will be there to talk about their programs and differing opportunities. Some Colleges and Universities that will be there include USAO, OCCC, UCO, SWOSU, OBU, and MNTC. Arby’s, City of Norman Parks and Rec, Crest, Embassy Suites, OnCue, and Sodexo will be available to conduct job interviews, collect resumes and applications, and to answer questions about hiring. There will be a chance to learn about job postings/scan a QR code for those interested in working at Homeland, HTeaO, HeyDay, Michael’s, Ross, or Nothing Bunt Cake. There will also be mini sessions taking place in both the commons and different classrooms during Think Green including AP Q & A in the Commons, FAFSA/Concurrent in N113, Banking and Investing in N114, Explore Scholarships in N115, OU Leadership in N116, Bling Your Common App in N117, “Career Path, What?” in the Library Classroom, and “What’s Your Goal?” in the Library Classroom.
