Western Monday

Wild West

- Liz Yue, Student Life Writer

Students according to the school spirit theme, dressed up as western last week for the homecoming spirit week. Many students showed up in flannels, hats, and to top it off, cowboy boots.

The first of many spirit days in the week was Cowboy Day. Cowboy Day was also present during the spirit week before the crosstown clash. Along many schools in the South, going back to the wild west to show school spirit isn’t uncommon. The halls were decorated with cowboy hats and the stomping of cowboy boots. According to an anonymous student, “Dressing up for cowboy day was a great way to show school spirit! Everyone was wearing cowboy hats, and it really brought the school together.”

This seemed to be a great way to raise spirit for homecoming and an even better way to start off the spirit week.
