The freshmen gather after the X-Bowl to reflect on their great season.

On Tuesday, November 10th, the freshmen football team took on Westmoore at Moore High School in the X-Bowl. The X-Bowl is the freshman State Championship.

Originally,  Edmond North was supposed to play but had several COVID cases among the team.

The final score of the game was 8-27, the Timberwolves came up a little short. Many players were emotional as this was their last game of the season. Jake Martin, tight end said, “We played hard, but had fun”.

North was unprepared because they only had one practice before the big game, which played a big role in their loss.

The Timberwolves had three fumbles and threw two interceptions. The Jaguars scored several times all of which led to their big win.  The score at the end of the first half was 0-21.

With just two minutes left in the fourth quarter, quarterback Holden Kee threw a 15-yard pass into the red zone and put the team on the goal-line. Kee then ran a quarterback sneak for a touchdown.

They were heartbroken over their loss, but many players said they had an excellent season and that they were proud of all the hard work they put in.

Nose guard, Jack Davis said, “I feel we all worked hard on the field, and we all worked hard in the offseason which led to a good season for us”.

The football season is over, but they will be back next year hoping for another shot at a championship title.
