Covid Concerns on the Rise
Fours days after starting in-person school, one-third of Norman High faculty and students have been quarantined due to COVID-19.
Norman went back to in-person school on September sixth. Masks and social distancing were required. Highschool was on an A/B schedule to lessen the number of students in the building. Two weeks later, cases were on the rise and Norman went back to remote learning. Many teachers have voiced their concerns about how Norman handled in-person learning in a letter to the administration. Many safety precautions could be farther enhanced:
- better contract tracing
- cleaning
- communication between district and parents/staff
- quarantine and testing guidelines
