The OU Playoffs game will be held in Norman on Dec. 19, which conflicts with the last day of school for Norman Public Schools. According to a statement from the district, school will be cancelled due to “significant traffic congestion and potential road closures associated with the University of Oklahoma’s College Football Playoff game.”
For students at Norman North, this means that the finals schedule will be adjusted to account for the eliminated day. Zero hour finals will still occur Monday and Tuesday from 7:35-8:40 a.m.. The timing for the rest of the finals schedule will remain the same, but will occur a day earlier than initially planned.
The new schedule will eliminate one day of finals preparation, so the Howl staff recommends that students adjust their study schedules and prioritize rest.
