High-Kicking to Victory

On Wednesday, January 6th, SPUD hosted the annual Lip Sync Battle in the North Gym. Participants lip-synced to songs, such as Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies,” and “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” by Taylor Swift. The group “Rihanna’s Backup Dancers” featuring Teja Johnson, Harper Orr, and Kinley Kite, particularly stood out. After a stunning high-kick that had the crowd cheering, the group was crowned the winner. This SPUD event was one of the many that take place during Norman North’s Spud Week. All funds raised during this event go towards the local family and organization SPUD is helping.
