Abby Gray: “I am heavily involved at North, I am a member of five clubs, played varsity volleyball last year, NHS junior vice president, [involved in Project Linus] and will be president next year. I also was an ambassador in SPUD and have been in DEN for two years and am currently serving as Publicity Chair! The main thing I want to focus on is making the freshman experience as valuable and enjoyable as possible. For a lot of freshmen, this is a determining factor for their future academic life and investment in North and outside life.”

Noah Brown: “I’m currently the junior class president on the prom planning committee, a 3-year veteran speech and debate member, in SPUD and I’m in my second year in DEN. I’m running because I’m passionate about my school and the people in it, and I want our school to be headed in the best direction possible, and I believe I can take it there. Not by myself but through reflecting and carrying out the ideas and wishes of my peers.”

I decided I wanted to run because I value the reputation of this school, and I want to lead this community in growing stronger.”

Treasurer Candidates:

Bentley Wright: “I have served as a senator for two years working with the publicity committee and the treasurer. I shadowed the treasurer this past year and was highly involved during SPUD Week by working in the counting room. I’m running because I believe I am ready for more responsibility and think this role is right for me. I enjoy being involved with SPUD and am a very organized person who is ready to take on this position!”

Avery Hopper: “Being part of DEN these past two years has been my favorite part of high school. This year I have had the chance to shadow our current treasurer, Amanda Mercer, and she taught me what it takes to be a good treasurer. Handling money is very vital for the success of DEN and SPUD, which is why the treasurer needs to be responsible, hard-working, and organized, and I know I am qualified.”

PR Candidates:

Kaleb Favaloro: “I feel qualified for PR Exec because I have been in DEN for two years and have had experience in a leadership position as a video chair. I am running because I want more people to go to school events. It’s made my high school experience so much more enjoyable and I just want to allow that for as many kids at North as possible.”

Tuqa Alibadi: “Hey I’m Tuqa Alibadi! I’ve been in DEN for three years and am secretary this year. I’ve loved what we have accomplished in DEN but going into this new position, I see a perfect chance for new changes in DEN. The PR executive’s role is to communicate with the school, and I see no better opportunity to embrace diversity, representation, and create a new image for NNHS and DEN.”

Voting is on Tuesday, March 8th, during advisory. Seniors are not eligible to vote.
