Students Have Checked Out Over 3,000 Books This Year So Far!
This weekend the Library released its stats from the first quarter of the year (8/19-10/22) via Instagram (shown below). So far there have been 3,487 books checked out, 31 Open Makerspace (podcasting, 3D-Printing, etc.) hours during lunches with 43 Makerspace appointments made, and the most requested tool was the podcasting setup.
The Library has also collaborated with over 10 classes and both the GSA and Feminist Club so far this year with hopefully many more to come, when it comes to collaborating with teachers to help co-teach, Mrs. Dettmann said this, “Sometimes a teacher brings to us a specific unit or lesson that they’re doing that they just would like some help with. And then we just bounce ideas off of each other and then make it happen.” and one of her favorite classes to work with was Media 1 “[Because of the] graphic novels and comics [unit] was brand new this year, and that was really that’s been really fun.”
