Got junk? We asked Norman North Students who drive what items they have in their car trunks. Here’s what they said.
“Some towels and some clothes. I use the towels to dry my car off when I wash it,” said sophomore Mason James.
A recent poll posted on Howl social media revealed that most students keep blankets in their car rather than towels. Some students said that they keep blankets as an emergency precaution in case they get stuck. One respondent said he keeps 10 pairs of shoes in his car.
“I have an empty storage box in the bed of my truck. I put my backpack in it when I’m driving,” said senior James Bigelow. Using a storage box helps Bigelow save space for passengers.
“Which Car? The Mustang GT or the Ford F250?” Senior Luke Bowers said. ” In the Mustang GT I have some work stuff. In the Ford I have some construction equipment.”
Senior Parker Gladhill said that she has nothing in the trunk of her car.
When asked what she keeps in the trunk of her car, Library Secretary Shanelle Jackson said “Other than a body… wink wink since you can’t see me winking.” All jokes aside, she said “I have a scraper that I used this morning, I have two blankets, a battery charger, and utensils to change my tire, and then those recycle bags I always say I’m going to use and I just leave them in my truck and never use them.”
