No Parking on the Band Floor
Every day at zero hour marching band practices in the parking lot behind the school. Band requires the space so they can prepare for marching season, which includes dazzling halftime shows and competitions later in the year.
This year Norman North has a brand new band director, Mr. Vanvickle, and he is determined to make this year’s marching band bring big crowds to their feet. Every student in the band works very hard and wakes up very early in order to practice, yet the time still feels limited. So out of respect for the students, please stay out of the lot while the band is present. Cars provide unnecessary distractions, they offer safety hazards, and disrupt the sound of practice sessions. The band must stay focused in order to hit peak performance.
“Hi Norman North Students! The NN Band really appreciates everyone not parking in the band parking lot until after we are done at 8:35 each morning. We want to perform our best for our amazing student section on Friday nights, and we need that uninterrupted rehearsal time in the mornings in order to do so. Thanks for helping out the band on this. Go T-Wolves!!!”
