Makenzie Toma, senior and homecoming court candidate, was unable to attend the coronation due to quarantining. “I was flustered because I wanted to be there but I couldn’t be there,” she said, “but I was lowkey okay with it because I didn’t want to get COVID.” Due to Makenzie being quarantined, junior Brandy Liu walked for her in her place, and Makenzie ended up winning Homecoming Queen. ” It was a unique experience that not everyone will experience,” Brandy said, “I’m very happy for Makenzie for winning.”
