On Monday, August 30th, Varsity softball played the Choctaw Yellowjackets in an intense home game. The student section showed up and packed the stands for the “country” themed night. 

The Lady Timberwolves had a rough start going down 7-1 after the first inning. This deficit caused the girls to rally against the Yellowjackets and made the score 8-6 by the sixth inning.

In the final inning the Timberwolves once again kept the Yellowjackets scoreless with great defense, including a fantastic diving catch by Tylie Liggons. The Timberwolves stepped up to bat in the bottom of the seventh and brought the game to within one run. The student section was worked to a frenzy.

Unfortunately, the girls were unable to capitalize on their momentum and the game ended 8-7.
