Thanksgiving is coming up, as well as the beginning of break. We went around the school and asked people what they were thankful for and going to do over break.
The first person we asked was the school’s tech specialist, Kathryn Taylor. The first question that we asked her was “What are you most thankful for?”
“My family,’’ Taylor said. “’Cause I love them and they’re cute.”
Being thankful affects Ms. Taylor’s life because she said “it makes her happier.” When asked, Ms. Taylor, what advice would she give to someone who wants to be a better person? Her answer was ”Look through the little things..” We moved on and asked What are you hoping to do over the break? And she said to read more books during the break.
Q. What in your life has helped you become the person you are?
A. ”My dad”.
Q.What is one thing you’re looking forward to?
A. “Desserts, all these desserts.”
Q. What is your favorite thing that you do as a family?
A. “Play games, Playwork games.”
Q. Who would you thank today?.
A. ”I would think of my library family, Mrs. Detman, and Miss Jackson and they are so helpful.
We then asked Miss Jackson, the library secretary about what she’s grateful for and why.
“I am most thankful for the fact that I have a job. I know it’s a hard time for a lot of people, and it’s just great to come to a place of work and not only to work with the students and future adults of America, but also just to work with a lot of kind people.” said Jackson. “ When I feel down about the things that I don’t have, I think about the things that I do have. One thing I try not to do is compare myself to another person.
