Our volleyball team had a great season. Going into the season with a new coach was nerve racking, but the girls turned this challenge into success. Coach Faith Avalos managed the girls through the season, leading them to many wins and even the state finals. The girls have not been to the state finals since 2016. Coach Avalos used proven coaching strategies to bring out the best in all of her players. She did an amazing job coaching the girls considering it was her first year.

She clearly brought out the best in the girls and it showed in the team’s accomplishments. The final match was difficult and the girls fell just short of being state champs. In the end the team finished with plenty of hardware for the trophy case, and all the pride from their success will be lingering in the gym when the new team arrives next summer.
