On Tuesday, April 12th the Norman North Cheer Stunt team competed at Tuttle middle school to see who will be the regional champs. AT 5 pm NN faced Tuttle to start off the first round of regionals. After taking down the Tigers, up next was Piedmont at 6 pm to determine who would be the regional champ. The Norman North Cheer Stunt team are Regional Champs, which means it’s time to take the talent and competition to State. State is hosted at Oklahoma Baptist University. The T-Wolves are the number 3 seed starting the first round of state against the number 6 seed Sapulpa. After the T-Wolves turned down the Chieftains, it was time for the second round of state. The second round of state was a very big rival, it was North vs. High. The girls were very excited about competing in the semi-final of state because of the rivalry. Unfortunately, they fought super hard but just fell short of moving on to the championship. At the beginning of the season without having a coach and knowing if they were even going to have a season, to finish on top with a 6-1 record at the end of the season is quite the accomplishment.
