On Sunday, March 6th, Norman North JV Pom competed at NDA National Competition and won first place in the Jazz Category, first place Pom Category, and the Grand Championship for the junior level. Varsity received second place in Mix (a combination of pom, hip hop, kick line, and jazz), sixth in Jazz and twelfth in Pom.  “I wasn’t surprised at all,” said Finley Johnson, freshman, “But I just so proud because no Norman North Pom team has ever won three National titles in the same year and I was so happy for all my friends.”

Norman North Pom has been preparing for this competition all year with 6:30 AM practices and extra practices on the weekend. “My team and I worked our butts off to prepare for nationals.” said Taylor Salmond, sophomore, JV Pom member, “6:30 AM practices all year, cleaning and perfecting our dances were worth it!”
