This past Thursday, April, 21st at the Norman High baseball fields the Norman North baseball was teamed up to play the Deer Creek Antlers in the first round of the COAC tournament. The T-wolves were set to play at 2:30 pm but due to the game before they didn’t get started until 3:45 pm. Even with a long delay and a late start, the T-wolves were ready to come out and play. Coach Aylor starts the first inning with senior, Jack Bucholz on the mound, Jack keeps the game close by only allowing the Antlers to score 4 runs, but with our offense on fire, we kept the game 4-4. Aylor decided to switch it up on the Antlers in the 5th inning and put in senior, Brodie Finlay to pitch. The T-wolves had 3 over fence home runs from all seniors, Will Bradley in the 3rd inning, Jack Bucholz in the 7th inning, and Brodie Finlay in the 8th inning. Jack Bucholz’s homerun is what kept us in the game, and took us to extra-inning, with the T-wolves being down 4-6. Will Bradley got a double right before Jack was up to bat, Jack had a 1-2 count then his next pitch he knocked it out of the park. The T-wolves were so excited to see that ball go over the fence, and all celebrated at home plate after Jack reached home. In the bottom of the 8th inning, with the score being 6-6, and one runner on it was time for Brodie to hit. He took the first strike, then on his next pitch, he crushed it over the left-field fence to walk off the win for the T-wolves. The T-wolves say to Brodie Finlay “He is Him”.
